Connor Watson runs out in the No 6 jersey for the Roosters on Sunday against Canberra, Watson was brought in to replace State of Origin halfback Mitchell Pearce.

At one point Watson loomed as a future playmaker at the Roosters and many were tipping a big future. But the Roosters are not a club used to waiting and so, with Watson still considered some years away from being a permanent first grader the Roosters went to the market and brought Luke Keary to the club.

As everybody knows, though, three does not go in to two and Keary’s stellar form has him considered a long term prospect at the club.

Aware of this, already Wests Tigers have shown interest in Watson and no doubt will be keeping a keen eye on him against the Raiders.
