Macca’s Match Up – 2017 Round 12 – New Zealand Warriors v Brisbane Broncos

While I said I would never go for the Warriors again in lifetime, I’m going to have to say that if they don’t win this week, they can hang up their boots and go back to Auckland.

New Zealand, who are still at full-strength will see the welcome return of ex-captain Simon Mannering back into the fray. They should be able to beat a second-string Broncos team which will be laden with replacements for their Origin stars.

The onus is definitely on the Warriors – they have everything in their favour, a home ground advantage and a depleted Broncos should get them the biscuits.

The Big 4 in Isaac Luke, Shaun Johnson, Kerian Foran and Roger Tuivasa-Sheck are one hell of a spine on paper and while they play well individually, they haven’t lined up as a team as yet. They need to focus as a unit in order to win.

If they fail I will erase them from my memory.
