VIDEO: Scott Dureau fundraising announcement

The Men of League Foundation are proud to announce that the fundraising efforts for former Newcastle Knights’ scrum half Scott Dureau have brought in $148,000.

The incredible number is testament to the giving and caring nature of the rugby league community, and the Foundation would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all those who pitched in to help Scott.

In the video above, Scott sits down with Wide World of Sports rugby league personality Erin Molan and talks candidly about how he was diagnosed with a brain tumour that was removed in 2014.

He is currently undergoing chemotherapy after the cancer was found to have returned late last year and had now spread to his liver.

Scott is the Jersey Flegg Coach at Newcastle after a career that spanned spells in Australia and France.
