Vale Raymond ‘Ray’ William Murray

Ray, aged 67 years old, passed away peacefully on 30 October, 2016.

Originating from Orange, where he was a great school boy half back for Orange High School, he played in several University Shield wins in the late 1960s. He subsequently went onto to play grade rugby league with the Manly Warringah District Rugby League Football Club.

Ray was a good supporter of the Men of League Foundation and was a regular attendee at Northern Sydney Men of League events; seen recently attending with his friend Ian Martin, an accomplished ex-Manly Warringah player.

He will be dearly missed by wife Maggie, his children Adam, Rachael, Hamish and Stephen and his loving grandchildren Jacob, Alex, Kipp, Lara, Digby and Luke plus his countless friends in the District.

A funeral service was held on 3 November 2016 at the Northern Suburbs Crematorium, North Ryde.
