Vale – Marcus Nathan Romain

Marcus passed away peacefully on the 28 August 2017. He was born in Grey Lynn, New Zealand and at the age of three years old his family moved to Australia, where in the following years he made the Northern Beaches area, Sydney his home and was a very active Member of the proud North Narrabeen Surf Life Saving Club over a long period of time. Marcus was a noted surf boat rower for the Club competing in the Junior Crews then the successful “A” Crews’ that won the Interstate Challenge in 1968, 2nd place in 1963 and 3rd place in 1966. In addition to excelling in the surf, Marcus displayed a clean pair of heels when playing in successful junior rugby league teams for the Collaroy and the Narrabeen Sharks Clubs, competing in the Manly Warringah Junior Rugby League competitions.

Marcus was a most likeable and amiable Gentleman, who was respected by all who meet him and he will be sorely missed by his many friends throughout the Northern Peninsula community.

He will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 33 years Rhonda, former wife Doris (deceased), son Scott, daughter Nicole, stepchildren Steven, Dianne, Leanne and their partners and beautiful grandchildren Mathew, Emily, Jaimee, Travis, Kaidi, Mitchell, Kauan and Joshua.

Family and friends are cordially invited to attend a Funeral Service for Marcus at the Ann Wilson Funerals Chapel, cnr Barrenjoey Rd and Darley St, Mona Vale on Monday 4 September 2017,at 2 p.m.
