Graham Lena, a former Queensland and Brothers rugby league player, passed away in Brisbane on January 6 2018.

Born in Murwillumbah NSW, Graham played in many parts of Queensland including Ayr, Toowoomba before leaving there for Brisbane.

In 1971, Graham was awarded the prestigious Courier Mail ‘Best and Fairest’ award, helped Brisbane win the Bulimba Cup and represented Queensland.

In 1972, he suffered damage to a crucial ligament which eventually forced his retirement in 1974. In 2017, Graham was awarded a spot in The Brothers team of the century.

In recent years, the Men of League Foundation has provided wellbeing assistance to Graham; visiting him in hospital and hosting him as a special guest at Foundation fundraising eventsGraham and his wife Sandy we both members of the Foundation and we are grateful for their return support.
