Special function to help Kedzlie family

NORTH Coast Men Of League will band together with Sawtell Panthers this Saturday night on a special mission.

A special fundraising event will be held at Sawtell Golf Club from 7.30pm to celebrate the life of young footballer Jake Kedzlie and continue the support for his family.

MOL president Peter Barrett is calling on all rugby league fans to spread the word.

“We have a chance to farewell and remember 15-year-old Jake who tragically passed away last month,” Barrett said.

“There will be auction items, lots of raffles and gourmet pizzas not to be missed.”

Jake’s grandfather, Tommy Raudonikis, will head up a top list of guest speakers including his old Newtown and Balmain sparring partner, Neil “Bing” Pringle.

Former Origin greats John Cartwright and Martin Lang will also make an appearance.

Tickets are $25 per head and available from Sawtell Golf Club or at Rex Hardaker Oval during tomorrow night’s Panthers training session.

A mural honouring the memory of Jake Kedzlie has been created at Rex Hardaker Oval.
