Lee Ferrier Presented Royal Rehab Achievement Award

On Friday 4 May, Lee Ferrier was presented with a Royal Rehab Achievement Award at the Ryde Sports Foundation Annual Awards Dinner at Ryde Eastwood Leagues Club. Lee was recognised for his achievements in returning to sport following his motor vehicle accident.

During Lee’s time in the Spinal Injury Unit at Royal Rehab he became connected to the Men of League Foundation through the regular visits organised by Ken Vessey. Ken and the regular team of Norm Pounder and Freddy Jackson were instrumental in getting Lee engaged with a return to surfing via a Beach access program. Lee went on to extend his sporting activities to include, hand cycling, snow boarding and wheelchair tennis. Lee’s Award was acknowledgement for the determination and commitment he has made to his rehabilitation program and for his Ambassador role at the Spinal Injury Resort Sargood on Collaroy and for his continued support of the Men of League Foundation.

Lee was fortunate enough to receive his Achievement Award trophy from the legendary Louise Sauvage and Martina Fox, Community Relations Manager, representing Royal Rehab.
