Kenty’s Man of the Moment – Robbie Farah

Robbie Farah – NSW Blues

Depending on what you hear or whom you believe, Robbie Farah will or will not be selected as NSW hooker on Monday. Either way, Farah has the perfect opportunity to press his Origin credentials this Sunday when he runs out in the unlikely arena of Perth against the Melbourne Storm and, yes, their captain Cameron Smith.

Head to head matches aren’t what they used to be but Blues coach Laurie Daley will be looking for certain things when Farah takes on Smith this weekend.

At the same time Farah’s most likely rival for the Blues hooking role, Penrith’s Peter Wallace, takes on Newcastle a few hours earlier in Newcastle.

Daley gets a chance for a close look at both players.

While he won’t confirm as much it is known that Daley has also been watching the statistics of all his potential hookers and, while he realises there is more to performance than just statistics to judge performance, the numbers support Farah to retain his Origin jersey.
