Ben Ross meets Jason Gall from Tweed Heads

Ben Ross, Men of League Foundation’s National Wellbeing Manager, had a bit of hands-on work to do when he attended the Tweed District social function at the Kirra Beach Hotel on 13 August 2017.

At the event, Ben had a lengthy discussion with Jason Gall of Tweed Heads. Jason, 43, has sepsis disease, is a bilateral leg amputee and also has his left hand amputated.

He has kidney failure and receives dialysis treatment three times each week. In July 2015, Gall contracted sepsis disease when he swallowed dirty water while surfing at Snapper Rocks.

Jason played rugby league with Manly Cove Rebels and went on to play Harold Matthews Cup and SG Ball Shield.

Tweed Committee and President John Strong are currently investigating ways they can assist Jason and wish him all the very best for the road ahead.
