Welcomed guests at the Asquith rugby league club old boys day

Northern Sydney Wellbeing Officers Norm Pounder and Ken Vessey recently accepted a kind offer from Michelle Kelly, director at the Asquith rugby league club, to have a Men of League Foundation marquee at their “Old Boys Reunion” Day at Storey Park, when their Sydney Shield and Ron Massey teams were playing.

The day was well attended and our presence was warmly welcomed by the spectators attending. We had many enquiries concerning the activities and responsibilities of the Men of League Foundation in the rugby league community and a number of attendees signed up to become a member of the Foundation.

It presented a wonderful opportunity to convey our message to those attending, who are very much involved in the support /developing our game in the Northern Sydney junior rugby league district.

Norm and I thoroughly enjoyed the time and express our sincere thanks to Michelle, Mick Tickner (Club President) and the other officials for the invitation and opportunity.
