Vale – Steve Calder

It is with very deep sadness and regret that we inform you of the passing of Steve Calder. 

Steve was a rugby league servant but more importantly a champion bloke. 

He was always respected as a player and coach. He will always be loved through the rugby league community but especially in Queensland. 

In 2004, Steve became the Men of League’s first Queensland Chairman. He held this position until 2011, when he began working full time as the Men of League’s Queensland State Manager.

As a foundation, we owe an immeasurable debt that can never be repaid to Steve. 

We are so very grateful to have known him. 

Our thoughts and prayers are with Steve’s family at this time.
