Vale – Graham ‘Dicky’ Porter
Men of League Foundation Member #10821
Born 12/4/1948, Passed Away 23/10/2018
Born in Tamworth, Graham spent his whole life living at Kootingal, a small town 11kms north of Tamworth.
Graham worked at Fielders Flour Mill in Tamworth for 47 years and retired three years ago.
A life that has been dedicated to all sports, especially to rugby league in the area, Graham was involved with Bendemeer Rugby League Club, Kootingal Rugby League Club and Moonbi Kootingal Rugby League Club, as well as being a pivotal figure in the entire Group 4 Division.
Although he never reached great heights as a player, his excellent administrative skills made him an influential person within the rugby league community in Northern New South Wales, where no task was too great for him to handle.
Graham was often seen around the grounds and had tremendous pleasure watching junior rugby league players develop their skills and learn the nuisances of the game as they progressed.
Graham took great pride in being a Men of League Foundation member, giving back to the game.
Graham is survived by four of his siblings; Margaret, Beverly, Greg and Wayne, however the entire Kootingal community was one big extended family to him.
Rest in Peace, Graham.
