Vale Ray Sheffield

Men of League member and former Newtown player Ray Sheffield has passed away at aged 75 years of age.

Ray played a few games in reserve grade for Newtown back in the late 50’s early 60’s. He loved his Rugby League and followed St George after his beloved Newtown was dropped out of the top level.
 
He was the Captain of Castle Hill Country Club (golf) back in the 80’s to early 90’s. During this time he met Sterlo, Rabs, Ian Baker-Finch. Greg Norman and many others.
 
Ray is survived by his wife Margaret and family.
