The porch light is on Harold

Well I have to say people are getting quite excited down in the Shire. The Sharks are on top of the competition for the first time in 16 years and the way they are playing, could stay there for the rest of the year.

They are injury free at the moment and don’t have a huge representation in Origin, which will help. There will be some hurdles to overcome but their team is so well balanced with an experienced tough pack, smart halves and an exciting young backline. These aspects should take them to a top four spot and possibly into the GF.

Two players for me have been instrumental in this. Mick Ennis is the form hooker of the competition and should be playing Origin and Ben Barba is showing the form that took him to a Dally M with the Dogs.

Let’s hope Jack Gibson’s prediction of the Sharks winning the premiership is like leaving the porch light on for Harold Holt will become reality.
