Semi Final Wash Up

Semi Final Wash Up

Who fired and who didn’t?

Sharkies – What a win. No Gallen, Graham injured and coach hooks his playmaker Townsend. Their defence was strong throughout and Matt Prior batted way above his weight against a huge Canberra pack. The Raiders should have put them away in the 1st half but Priors try, followed by loosing Hodgsen exposed their inexperience.

Panthers – The Bulldogs took it to them until Moylan and co. showed their class and the Doggies could just not keep up with them. Once Brett Morris hurt his knee, their chances had diminished. The Panthers have been consistent in playing this style of footy all year. Big wrap to Peter Wallace who is the rudder for their ship. Could be the Smokey’s for the title.

Broncos – They slipped past the Titans who may have been a bit unlucky with some tough calls. They were the better side on the night with Anthony Milford stepping up and Jarred Hayne showing he needs a good off season to prepare for next year.

Storm – They were methodical in their win over the Cowboys which showed why they are the favourites. They limited Jonathan Thurston’s time and were tenacious in their attack and defence. Cameron Smith again showed what a class act he is and how he is going to be so important to their premiership aspirations.
