Old Friends

Some old friends caught up at the Pavement Cafe in Sylvania on Thursday 30 July and spent a lot of time in the Time Tunnel remembering the old days. Wouldn’t you like to pick a team from this table! 

These people were John Raper (39 Tests, 8 Grand Final wins, Team of the Century, Immortal), Billy Smith (26 Tests, 4 Grand Final wins), John Peard (8 Tests, 2 Grand Final wins), the Honourable Michael Cleary (6 Rugby Union Tests for the Wallabies, Bronze Medal in 100 yards final at 1962 Commonwealth Games, 8 Rugby League Tests, 3 Grand Final wins with Souths, former NSW Minister of Sport 1981-1988, member for Coogee), Carol Raper, Brian Doyle (well known Irish Comedian) and Barry Ross (former Channel 7 Rugby League commentator).
