Kenty’s Man of the Moment – George Burgess – South Sydney Rabbitohs

There is no disputing that George Burgess, the 120kg enforcer for the Rabbitohs, is one hundred percent pure beefcake.

Burgess has a frame it looks like God would put together for himself if he wanted to be a footballer.

But Burgess and his twin brother Tom have come under inspection this season as, more often than not, their mistakes have overshadowed their input.

It has caused many to question whether the Rabbitohs can continue to carry their healthy wages in a team that is no longer firing, with former Souths and Manly hardman Mark Carroll calling on the twins this week to strip five kilograms from their frames in a bid to be more mobile around the field.

The Rabbitohs take on the Dragons tonight in a nostalgic return to the Sydney Cricket Ground, the scene of their 1965 and 1971 grand finals where honours were split.
