Jamieson Leeson on the NRL Footy Show

Jamieson is 13 years old and a mad rugby league and Manly Warringah Sea Eagles supporter.

All her life Jamieson has been a familiar face at her brother Codi’s rugby games, cheering him on. Meanwhile their mum Amanda has ferried Codi and his teammates thousands of kilometres over the years so they could attend training and matches around central western NSW where they live. Amanda has also been a regular volunteer in the canteen and at barbecues.

Jamieson lives with spinal muscular atrophy and has never walked or crawled. She is mobile in her electric wheelchair but has increasingly limited use of her arms and hands. Her muscles grow weaker with time, because her condition is degenerative and there is no cure.

Watch our NSW Welfare Manager Ben Ross on the NRL Footy Show to see how we’re helping to support Jamieson and her family and hopefully help them all live a better quality of life.
