Welcome visit for former NSW rep

Welfare officer Ken Thompson visited Kevin O'Toole in Tamworth base hospital, Kev was a well known player for west Tamworth (northern div)  in his playing days, he is struggling a bit after having an operation on his elbow, we wish him a speedy recovery.

Men of League Northern Rivers Division paid a visit to former North Sydney player Len Diett, who has had lengthy stays in hospital due to complications with a hip replacement.

A delegation presented Len with a Men of League Polo and Cap while he was laid up in Ballina Hospital.

Len then spent time in St Vincent’s Hospital in Sydney, where he was thrilled to receive a visit from another former North Sydney star, Greg Florimo.

As a five-eighth, Len played 46 games for North Sydney from 1962-66, and represented New South Wales in 1964. Prior to switching to league, Len excelled at rugby union and played two games as a centre for Australia against the touring British Lions in 1959.
