Wally Fullerton Smith to join Fraser Coast Committee for golf day

The Men of League Foundation’s Fraser Coast Committee is inviting all members of the local community to join them alongside Maroons legend Wally Fullerton Smith for their Golf Day to be held at the Maryborough Golf Club on Sunday 25 November.

The day will provide a fantastic opportunity for lovers of the game to get together and raise funds for the Foundation to continue their ongoing support for the men, women and children within the rugby league community.

The Golf Day will include a BBQ lunch and golf and will cost members of the club $25 to play, whilst non-members of the club will pay $30. A shotgun start will commence proceedings at 9:00 AM.

Attendees can look forward to mingling with and enjoying the company of Men of League Foundation supporter Fullerton Smith, who represented the Maroons on 12 occasions.

Fraser Coast Committee President, Kev Embrey, says the Golf Day will be an enjoyable day on the course and he would love to see a big crowd there.

“We are very lucky to have the support of the beautiful Maryborough Golf Club, it should be a great day out for anyone who comes along,” Kev said.

“There will be prizes for the best dressed and we are encouraging everyone to go all out in a team theme.

“Wally was a quality rugby league player and is now a tremendous supporter of the Foundation. He is a popular character wherever he goes and particularly in his home state of Queensland!”

“The festive season is all about giving and we would love to spread the Christmas cheer, as well as plenty of funds raised far and wide to those who are doing it a bit tough,” Kev concluded.

Anyone wishing to attend the Golf Day must make a reservation with Kev Law from the Maryborough Golf Club Pro Shop on 07 4121 3765.
