Visiting Albert Young in Dubbo

On Monday 17 October 2016, Western Region Committee members Martin Cook, Rob Pilon and Ross Tighe attended Bracken House Nursing Home in Dubbo to visit Albert Stevens. We presented him with a Men of League cap and shirt.

Albert is a native of Young, NSW and moved to Cooma in 1952 to work for Caltex. He played half back in their winning rugby league side that year and remained in the team until 1956, when he moved to Dubbo.  He then joined Macquarie and played with them from 1957 until 1962.

Albert was in good spirits and reminisced with us about his playing days and team members.
