Visit to Sargood on Collaroy

On Wednesday 14 June 2017 Northern Sydney Wellbeing officers Fred Jackson and Norm Pounder visited former Canterbury player Kevin Langdon at Sargood on Collaroy. Kevin is there for a number of days with the assistance of the Foundation to help test the facility.

Sargood on Collaroy is for paraplegics, quadriplegics and their families. Kevin is staying there with his son Blake.

Kevin said it is the first time since his accident that he has been able to have a relaxing evening with Blake. He was able to watch a movie in their unit which is set up as a self-contained unit, with carers assisting Kevin when required.

Kevin has volunteered to assist Sargood on Collaroy staff by talking to any new patients to help them through their early days living with their injuries by explaining the problems he had and helping the others to avoid them. Well done Kevin.

Kevin’s participation in Sargood on Collaroy has been of great benefit to him and his family. Kevin appreciated the visit, the chance for a chat and the concern the Foundation showed for him and his family.
