Vale – Warren John Kimberly

Warren Kimberley started his Rugby League playing days with the Wauchope Blues club in 1954 as a 15-year-old in the U18 competition of Group 3 playing four seasons in that grade winning three premierships before moving onto the senior ranks playing a total of 160-grade games for the Wauchope club.

He became a very successful coach of their Reserve Grade team as well as becoming a permeant member of their First Grade outfit over many years.

In the early 60’s Warren made a move into the Club’s administration, he first became the secretary of the “Blues” before becoming the club’s President a position he held before moving into Group 3 ranks as Treasurer and then President.

Warren then became the Treasurer of North Coast Division before being elected that bodies President, this move eventually took him into the ranks of Country Rugby League on their Management Committee which led him to the role of CRL President a position he held from 2000 to 2008 – a period of 9 years.

Warren also held a position on the New South Wales Rugby League’s Finance Committee.

During his time in Rugby League that started way back in 1954 a period of 60 plus years he was awarded “Life Membership” of NSW Rugby League, Country Rugby League, North Coast Division, Group 3 Rugby League and Wauchope District RLFC.

Warren is survived by wife Patricia, daughter Jenny and her family. Warren’s son Steven passed away in 2002.
