Vale – Mike Keim

Vale – Mike Keim

On Christmas Day, a much- loved Warwick family lost a wonderful, kind and generous man. A father, a husband, a passionate advocate – a champion who served Warwick well, volunteering for a number of community organisations.

Mike Keim was a man of great community standing. From his long history with banking institutions, including the Warwick Credit Union, to his involvement with the Lions Club of Warwick, Mike gave his time generously and had so much passion for the community.

Despite a leukaemia diagnosis 21 years ago, Mike battled on through operations, treatments and setbacks – always with a positive attitude and a smile.

His battle sparked many years of service with the Warwick and District branch of the Leukaemia Foundation and he and his wife Ros were champions of the cause.

One of his last big tasks this year was organising the Collegians 50-year reunion in May. Mike was a player in the premiership-winning under-18 team of 1965-66.

His loss will be felt immensely in the community.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Keim family for their incredible loss.
