Vale Leo Trevena

A former player with Western Suburbs, Canterbury and Parramatta, and Penrith foundation coach Leo Trevena passed away on the Gold Coast on 22 July, 2013, at the age of 84.
Leo had been in poor health over the past 14 months, suffering from dementia.
 
Leo played 29 first grade games as halfback for the Western Suburbs Magpies between 1950-53, including their victory over South Sydney in the 1952 grand final.
 
He then transferred to the Canterbury Berries in 1954, where he captained and played 11 first grade.
 
Retuning to Sydney in 1957 he played 2 first grade games for Parramatta. He was the Penrith Panthers foundation coach when they entered the premiership in 1957.
 
Leo’s passing is a sad loss for the rugby league community.
