Vale Kevin Hain
By Ken Vessey
The South Sydney Rabbitohs lost one of their greatest supporters with the passing of Kevin Hain in late April 2014 at the age of 87.
Kevin had a distinguished career with the Commonwealth Bank for over 50 years in senior positions in Australia and the Pacific Islands. Men of League Welfare Officers Chris Letters, Fred Jackson and Ken Vessey had the pleasure of visiting Kevin, his charming wife Joan and daughter Ally in 2013 at the Bupa Aged Care Centre, Mosman, where his room was adorned with items of South Sydney memorabilia including signed footballs, red and green caps and scarfs, framed Jerseys and drawings of team greats.
Kevin was a larger than life character who had you in continual laughter and he will be sadly missed by everyone who had the pleasure of his company.
He was great mates with the ‘Little Master’ Clive Churchill and there is no doubt that they would be together and barracking for their mighty Rabbitohs.
