He was a close friend of the late great Laurie Nichols, Balmain Tigers Number 1 Supporter and he could tell many funny tales about Laurie and the experiences they had together.

Kerry was the proudest and unashamed South Sydney Rabbitoh’s supporter and he was still celebrating the Club’s Grand Final win in 2014 and was planning the next premiership, which he no doubt will continue to do.

Kerry’s proudest moments, when attending the Metro Committee functions, was to meet his South Sydney idols including Bobby McCarthy, Gary and Wayne Stevens, Ray and Arthur Branighan, Bob Grant to name a few.

Tony Lewis used to tell about Kerry’s excitement on their long trip home from Kensington and his joy to have met those wonderful Rabbitoh’s players.

In recent years Kerry had a very trying time health wise but he had the respect and admiration by all who had the pleasure to know because of his courage and determination to enjoy his life and telling all he was “happy to be alive”.
