Vale Harry “Doug” Anderson

Former New Zealand International centre Harry “Doug” Anderson (Kiwi no 311) passed away on the 21 October 2016 aged 89, after a brief illness.

Doug, who played three tests for the Kiwis, was the youngest member of the New Zealand team which toured Great Britain and France in 1947/48. He also represented the Kiwis in the 1954 World Cup. Due to transfer complications he missed the 1951 and 1952 seasons, returning in 1953.
