Vale Des O’Reilly

The Men of League Foundation would like to extend its deepest condolences to the family and friends of Des O’Reilly.

After battling a long illness, Des passed away in the early hours of this morning (Monday, 7 March).

Eastern suburbs through and through, Des O’Reilly played junior football for Clovelly and made his first-grade debut for Eastern Suburbs against Manly in Round 4, 1975.

Des went onto win a premiership with Eastern Suburbs in 1975 and make a total of 127 appearances for the club before moving to Cronulla in 1983. Des later went onto play for New South Wales.
