Vale Bill Owens

Sadly, Men of League member Bill Owens passed away on 26th October 2016 after a long illness.

Bill played for West’s between 1954 and 1957 and 1960. He also played one season with Canterbury in 1958.

Bill then had a very serious shoulder injury which put paid to the 1959 season. In 1960 he played only one game for West’s. In 1964, Bill then started to coach West’s third grade.

Bill’s funeral will be held on Thursday 3rd November 2016 at 10.30am at Villa Maria Catholic Church, Mary Street, Hunters Hill.
