TNT Distribution Centre Donation

On 10th September 2019, Central Coast wellbeing officers Les Pearce and Lance Henry received an invitation courtesy of Ray Arrow to attend the TNT Distribution Centre at Berkley Vale. Ray has been a long term friend of the Foundation and has donated State of Origin and Titans merchandise to the Central Coast committee for auctions and raffles. He also has a long involvement in rugby league as a player and coach of local rugby league teams.

Ray and Paul Ending, Operations Supervisor, provided a tour of the distribution centre and the operations before Les and Lance had the opportunity to provide an insight to the employees about the purpose of the Foundation. During a BBQ, Les and Lance explained what it is that the Foundation does, talked about the Foundation distributing in excess of one million dollars to those in need in 2018 and how we are approaching a similar amount in 2019 with funds coming from membership, sponsorship and fundraising. They also explained our support to the rugby league family by way of wellbeing visits to those in need of emotional support, particularly those experiencing social isolation.

Following the visit, employees at the distribution centre donated in excess of $500 to the Foundation. This donation was a result of raffle conducted within the depot. Glen Powell, the driver, also donated a $40 voucher to the Foundation. Many thanks to the management and employees for their generous support.
