Shane Flanagan joins Men of League Kick-Off Club

Cronulla Sharks fans, shire locals and all members of the rugby league community are being invited to join the Men of League Foundation for an afternoon of rubbing shoulders with rugby league elite on Friday 17 March at JD’s Bar & Grill Cronulla.

Organised by the Men of League Foundation Southern Sydney Committee, special guest for the afternoon will be Sharks 2016 Premiership-winning coach Shane Flanagan. The afternoon is a chance for everyone to meet Shane and celebrate the return to the rugby league season whilst helping to raise important funds for the Men of League Foundation and its work with men, women and children of the rugby league community.

Men of League Foundation’s New South Wales State Manager, Stuart Raper, says that the day is sure to be a success for the Committee and encourages everyone in the Shire who shares their love of rugby league to come along to meet rugby league elite.

“This should be a great afternoon of catching up with old friends and meeting new ones. I’m really looking forward to being there to hear from ‘Flanno’ and catch up with our local hardworking Foundation members about the work they’ve been doing in the rugby league community. It will also be Saint Patrick’s Day so Guinness will be on tap,” said Stuart.

“Funds raised from the afternoon go to helping the Men of League Foundation to care for those from within the rugby league community who may have fallen on hard times and need some assistance. We help people with a range of services from visits to those who may be feeling socially isolated to household improvements and financial support.

“We hope to see lots of people come along to our afternoon. If you can’t join us on Friday 17 March at JD’s Bar & Grill in Cronulla but would like to support us, we’d love for you to join the Foundation. Members of the rugby league community can join at www.menofleague.com,” Stuart concluded.
