Scott’s Night of Knights – Men of League & Newcastle Knights to Host Fundraising Event for Scott Dureau

Sydney Roosters Coach Trent Robinson, National Rugby League legend Matty Johns and Newcastle Knights coach Nathan Brown will headline Scott’s Night of Knights, a fundraising event for former Knights Halfback Scott Dureau who is currently undergoing chemotherapy.

Held in conjunction with the Newcastle Knights, the benefit night will take place at the Newcastle Exhibition and Convention Centre on Friday 5 April with proceedings commencing at 6:00 PM.

Men of League Foundation Chief Executive Officer Stephen Lowndes says the Men of League Foundation were quick to offer any support they could to the former Knight.

“The Men of League Foundation are always there to support those within the rugby league community – whether volunteers, coaches or players and we are extending our hand of support to Scott and his family during this difficult period.

Tickets to Scott’s Night of Knights are available for $170 per person or $1,600 for a table of ten and include a two-course meal and beverage package for the evening.

A silent auction, live auction and raffles will take place on the night to raise further funds for the Dureau family.

Knights head coach, Nathan Brown, urged the local community to dig deep and assist one of their own.

“Throughout his career, Scott has made a tremendous impact on the Club,” Brown said.

“We are determined to do all we can to return those sentiments to him and his family throughout this process.”

Tickets for Scott’s Night of Knights are available now and can be purchased through the Men of League Foundation via phone or email.
