Port Stephens teenager on the mend after stroke

Port Stephens Men of League Foundation Committee President Chris Kelly, Secretary Peter Arnold, and Vice President Greg Hennessy paid a visit to Riley Coburn-Hall at his home at Lemon Tree passage, Riley suffered a stroke after playing for the Mallabula junior rugby league under 14 team. The talented fullback was rushed to Sydney where he underwent surgery to relieve pressure on his brain.

Country Rugby League and the National Rugby League have assisted the family where possible and Riley, a keen South Sydney fan, received a visit from Greg Inglis – a rare highlight for this tough little footballer.

Riley returns to hospital for further surgery this week with his lovely mum Kathleen by his side as brave Riley continues his mission to return to school next year with or without a wheelchair.

The local rugby league community and high school have been very supportive of Riley and his family and the Port Stephens Committee will continue to help where possible.
