Past & present rugby league stars to attend Men of League Foundation Gala Dinner
Australian Kangaroos and North Queensland Cowboys utility Michael Morgan will headline a strong list of rugby league stars who will be attending the Men of League Foundation’s 2018 Annual Gala Dinner on Wednesday 15 August to be held at The Westin Sydney.
The Gala Dinner will unveil the top three and greatest of all of the top ten Grand Finals, as per the final votes of the rugby league community.
Other confirmed players from the chosen grand finals include Sam Perrett (2014), Robbie Farah (2005), Joe Galuvao (2003), Owen Craigie (1997), Steve Menzies (1997), Steve ‘Blocker’ Roach (1989), Mick Cronin (1981), Fred Jones (1973) and Billy Smith (1965).
Men of League Foundation Chief Executive Officer Stephen Lowndes has expressed his excitement at the depth of class in the guest list, saying the announcement will create extra excitement amongst attendees.
“We are honoured to have representatives from the 2015, 2014, 2003, 1997, 1989, 1981, 1973 & 1965 grand finals joining us for the Foundation’s premiere fundraising event of the year.
“Some of these players have been fortunate enough to achieve the ultimate success of winning a Grand Final, whilst others have suffered the heartache of falling one step short. It is sure to make a tremendous evening for the rugby league community even more special,” Stephen concluded.
