Newcastle rugby league hero John Wilson

Newcastle Hunter Committee Wellbeing Officers David Turrell and Vince Murphy recently visited John Wilson who is recovering from a stroke and is about to undergo a knee replacement operation.

John’s involvement with rugby league started back in the 1970’s with South Newcastle Rugby League Football Club, South Newcastle Junior Rugby League Football Club, Newcastle Second Division Rugby league, Newcastle and Hunter Rugby League and the Newcastle Rugby League.

John has received Life membership from South Newcastle Rugby League, South Newcastle Junior Rugby League and Newcastle Rugby League.
