Newcastle Hunter visit to Frank Fish

Newcastle Hunter committee representatives recently visitied Frank Fish in John Hunter Hospital. Frank was a Newcastle representative in 1972 with Tony Browne and Des Kimmorley.

Frank also represented Country 2nd’s  in 1972 and played in the Western Division team which played Great Britain in 1974 – a team coached by Johnny King and immortalised in Ian Heads’ book, “The Night the Music Died”. He also went onto coach the Northern Division in their win over Great Britain in 1988.
 
Upon retirement as player, Frank became a household name in Country Rugby League and was honoured in 2010, for his work as a coach, selector and administrator
