Mental Health First Aid

During Men’s Health Week, the Men of League Foundation would like to congratulate the 10 volunteers and two staff members who recently participated in a two-day training course to become accredited Mental Health First Aiders.

Mental illness effects 1 in 5 Australians over the course of a 12 month period and suicide is the lead cause of death for Australian’s aged 15-44 years. The course, delivered by National Welbeing Manager Jessica Macartney, equips our people to be able to approach, assess and assist anyone who is in crisis or experiencing a mental health difficulty.
