Men of League Foundation to Celebrate Rugby League’s Greatest Grand Finals at Annual Gala Dinner

The Men of League Foundation is inviting all members of the rugby league community to join them for their Gala Dinner on Wednesday 15 August at The Westin Sydney. The annual fundraising event has been an inspiring inclusion on the rugby league calendar since 2004, highlighting the wonderful support provided by the Foundation for the men, women and children of the rugby league community.

The Foundation is excited to announce that this year’s event will highlight the greatest  Grand Finals in rugby league history.

Men of League Foundation Chief Executive Officer Stephen Lowndes said, “We assembled an expert panel of rugby league writers, historians and statisticians who nominated the top 10 Grand Finals since 1955. The rugby league community will ultimately decide the top three, including the greatest Grand Final of them all!”

In a brand-new initiative, voting from the general public will be carried out via the Daily Telegraph’s website, with the top-three ranked Grand Finals to be unveiled at the Foundation’s Gala Dinner.

“Not only will we be announcing the greatest Grand Final in rugby league’s history, but the Gala will also highlight the substantial impact the work done by our loyal army of volunteers across the nation has on the lives of those we support, and raise much needed funds to continue to serve those in need within the rugby league community.

“The Foundation invites all members of the rugby league community to join us for what is sure to be a fantastic evening of celebration. Tickets for the night are on sale now and available for purchase at menofleague.com

“All funds raised from the dinner will go to the Men of League Foundation to support those within the broader rugby league community who are experiencing hardship. We are proud to provide assistance to many men, women and children involved with rugby league at all levels through the delivery of physical, financial and emotional support. I look forward to a very caring and generous crowd joining us on Wednesday 15 August for this fabulous cause,” Lowndes concluded.
