Member of the Month – Neville Glover

Each month, the Men of League Foundation features a member who has displayed outstanding generosity, compassion and commitment to the Foundation. This month, our ‘Member of the Month’ is Neville Glover from our Tuggerah Lakes Committee.

Neville is a former first grade winger having played for the Parramatta Eels and Australia respectively. His passion for rugby league started at the early age of 6 with his father, a former footballer himself, being his major influence.

Neville was nominated by fellow Foundation member Andrew O’Hare for ‘his selfless commitment to the Men of League Foundation’.

Neville has been a member of the Foundation since its inception in 2002 and has been helping those in need within the rugby league community since. Neville first joined the Foundation with a bit of influence from Honorary President Ron Coote AM at a day of bowls.

Neville was recently a major part of our Tackling the Drought initiative in September where he visited Parkes, Cowra and Forbes. His passion for philanthropy comes from his appreciation of people in the country and trying to give something back to rural rugby league communities.

The rugby league communities in our rural and country areas are particularly close to Neville’s heart, where he continuously helps out rural towns inclduing Manilla, Tamworth, Eden, Dunedoo and Dubbo.

Neville decided to give back to the game that made him successful through the Foundation. He understands that there are people in the rugby league community who have fallen on hard times and is pleased to assist them. The Men of League Foundation is one of the many charities that Neville volunteers for.
