Meeting with Mary Durose before the Rugby League World Cup

Men of League Foundation CEO Frank Barrett and Melbourne Committee President Peter Foreman met up with Mary Durose last week before the kick-off of the Rugby League World Cup.

Frank and Peter met with Mary to follow up on her wellbeing and her ongoing support provided by the Foundation.

Mary, who was a very special guest at our 2017 Gala Dinner earlier this year, has been a maternal, guiding hand to over 300 Canterbury Bankstown Bulldogs players over 22 years. The most famous of these Bulldogs to be cared for by Mary is Queensland and Kangaroo icon Johnathan Thurston.

Mary was treated to a lovely lunch at AAMI Park Melbourne after her latest medical appointment. We’re wishing you all the best, Mary!
