Little Mia from Bundaberg is on the mend

BMD Queensland Wellbeing and Education Officer Mark Bunting recently visited Mia Pearce and her family at the Lady Cilento Hospital in Brisbane.

Mia, from Bundaberg, had a bit of a hiccup in her recovery recently and needed to be in Brisbane for treatment. Mia spent a fair part of last year in hospital in Brisbane but had been home in Bundy for most of this year.

Mia’s dad Ryan played rugby league for Easts in Bundaberg and the Gin Gin Hawks and her granddad Dave Pearce works for the QRL in Bundaberg as the Operations Manager.

We wish Mia and her parents all the best and hope that her time in Brisbane is relatively short and she can return home as soon as she is well enough again.
