Ash Taylor – Titans
Ash Taylor, as some used to say, is the best good young ‘un coming through the NRL right now.
Taylor will need to be every bit of that on Friday when the Titans, decimated through injury and Origin commitments, try to keep their premiership hopes alive against South Sydney at ANZ Stadium.
Taylor is the overwhelming NRL leader for try assists, with 19, and continues to lead the unfashionable Titans as they takeover bigger fish.
But with so many players missing (Jarryd Hayne, Jarrod Wallace and Nathan Peats (Origin) and Konrad Hurrell, Kane Elgey, Tyrone Roberts and Karl Lawton (injury)) against a Rabbitohs outfit only slightly under strength, responsibility falls on Taylor to lead his team.
One thing is for sure, he is good enough to meet the challenge.
