Kenty’s Man of the Moment – Michael Morgan – North Queensland Cowboys

Nobody has lit up the finals series quite like Michael Morgan.

Justifiably considered something of a stop gap when he was first thrown the No 7 jersey for the Cowboys after Johnathan Thurston got injured, Morgan has quickly emerged as one of the game’s most dominant halfbacks.

He led the Cowboys to victories over Cronulla, Parramatta and then the Sydney Roosters throughout the finals, each performance seemingly out-doing the previous effort.

In doing so, Morgan has established himself as a legitimate playmaker more than capable of leading the Cowboys to victory in Sunday’s grand final, making the Cowboys a legitimate chance against the competition pacesetters.

While the Cowboys remain underdogs insiders at the club look across their wounded playing roster and know that the Cowboys are, in fact, in better shape physically than they were in any of their three previous upset performances.

It gives the Cowboys a massive shot against the Storm, and Morgan remains key.
