Kenty’s Man of the Moment – Cameron Smith – Melbourne Storm

It is hard to look anywhere but towards Melbourne this weekend where Cameron Smith, the Melbourne, Queensland and Australian captain, becomes the greatest warrior in the games history.

Smith will play his 356th game against Parramatta on Saturday.

He beats the record set by Darren Lockyer for the most games ever played, a record that spans 110 seasons and more than 9000 rugby league players.

Smith already holds the record for most State of Origin games, with 42, is closing on Lockyer’s record for most Test matches, 55 to 50, and when you throw in his point scoring records has created a footprint in the game that might never be eclipsed.

What matters most to Smith though is the only thing that matters to all the great ones, premierships.

The Storm are hot favourites for this year’s title after dominating the season but know a loss on Saturday, even with a second chance, would severely damage their chances.
