It’s the little things that matter…

Working with the Australian Kangaroos recently, we helped Western Australia based Brenda Sanders to make a dream come true for her daughters.

In February this year, Brenda’s husband Steve passed away at the age of just 47 after a six month battle with cancer. This left Brenda to care for their two heartbroken young daughters. Their 9 year old daughter Bindi loves nothing more than watching rugby league and remembering times of watching the games with her Daddy.

With the Kangaroos Test in Perth and Bindi’s love of rugby league, Brenda decided to take her along to the game.

Thanks to help from our great friends at the Kangaroos, we were able to arrange Brenda and her family to meet a few players including Bindi’s favourite player – Johnathan Thurston.

Brenda said that she hasn’t seen her girls smile and laugh so much in a very long time and she wasn’t sure that Bindi would let JT go when hugging him.

After the victory over the Kiwis, JT found Bindi in the crowd and handed her his headgear. Class act, JT.

We’re glad to have been able to help bring a few smiles to the faces of the Sanders family.
