Dropping in to see Rex and Maryanne

Men of League Foundation Northern Sydney Committee Wellbeing Officers Fred Jackson and Norm Pounder went to visit Rex Cochrane, whom is currently in a Sydney Hospital in the spinal unit.

Rex recently had an accident on his quad bike and broke his neck. He is expected to be in hospital for a number of weeks and will then be transferred to Royal Rehabilitation Hospital at Putney for longer term rehabilitation.

Rex is the Aboriginal Education Officer at Kelso High School in Bathurst. He has lived in Orange for a number of years playing Rugby League with Orange CYMS, Orange Hawks, Bathurst Panthers and in 1991 played lower grades with Balmain and St Marys RLFC in the Metropolitan Cup.

Fred and Norm presented Rex with a Men of League Foundation polo shirt and the latest Men of League Foundation magazine.

Rex expressed his sincere thanks to the local community in Orange and the Men of League Foundation for their support.

Fred and Norm wished him all the best with his rehabilitation and advised we will keep in touch with him and his wife Maryanne to support their journey.
