Checking in with Kurt Rose

Last year, we had the privilege of visiting Kurt Rose as he was recovering in Brisbane while being treated for cancer. Our Queensland State Committee member, Wally Fullerton Smith and Brisbane Welfare Officer, Vance Rennie had visited Kurt and his family whilst he was recovering at the Cancer Council accommodation.

Kurt was so taken by the support that the Foundation had given him and his family, he drove four hours from Aramac to Emerald to play in our Central Highlands Committee’s Emerald Bowls Day.

Mark Bunting, our BMD Queensland Wellbeing Manager, was lucky enough to catch up with Kurt, his wife and children in Emerald and share with him his remarkable recovery.
