Our CEO Frank Barrett makes his rounds to visit the rugby league community
Men of League Foundation CEO, Frank Barrett, has been out and about visiting members of the rugby league community and checking in with our volunteer committees.
Mid North Coast Committee
Frank recently dropped into visit highly regarded former CRL Chairman, Men of League Foundation committee member and Group 3 administrator Warren Kimberley (pictured above).
Warren was Chairman of the CRL when Frank started out his career as General Manager Newcastle Rugby League in the early 2000s.
Warren provided plenty of great advice, shared stories and great memories of their various interactions over the years, including the obligatory feedback on his lack of singing ability.
Joining Frank on the visit was Patricia Kimberley, who has been a tower of strength through some tough times, along with his daily visitor and great mate Kevin Hardy.
Whilst in Taree, Frank took the opportunity to catch up with the hard-working Mid North Coast Committee at the famous Manning Hotel, who are great supporters of the Foundation.
The Mid North Coast Committee include a number of well-known rugby league identities and hard-working volunteers, who ensure the Foundation is in very good hands.
Upper Hunter Committee
Scone is well known for its horses but it’s also a well-known rugby league nursery, which means the Men of League Foundation plays a vital role in the community.
In October, Frank caught up with the local volunteers, to thank them for ensuring the Foundation has a strong representation in the Upper Hunter region and listen to their views on all things Men of League Foundation.
Asser House Café was the perfect venue to host the meeting, serving good old fashioned tucker with a country smile and local charm unique to this special part of the world.
